Alongside others advocating for abolition, (Formally known as Candis Rush) Annousheh Adab is the lead organizer for Look2justice at WCCW. Along with Criminal justice reform, another one of her primary passions is stressing the importance of post prison education for the incarcerated, toward that goal she is a member of FEPPS Advisory Council and can be heard pointing out policies and practices that reinforce new caste systems.

She also serves on the board as President for BPC amplifying the voices of the incarcerated. She stands with the LGBTQ+ community and against all hierarchical residuals of fascism and bigotry. Yearly she sits on a virtual panel at INCHEP conferences. As a scholar and a recent Bachelor graduate she stands on the backs of generations of ancestors as a visionary voice for change. As an Auntie of 6 and a returning matriarch to her community she anticipates being another servant toward societal progressive motion.

A couple of words she lives by come from Angela Davis “Our fight, while identical in spirit, reflects different conditions and thus implies different paths of struggle. But as heirs to a tradition of supreme perseverance and heroic resistance, we must hasten to take our place wherever our people are forging on towards freedom”.
