Hello my name is Jontaé Robert Chatman. I’m a first time offender working diligently to become a free man. I was sentenced to 756.4 months at the age of 21. Not understanding the legal process, I found myself falling victim to the ignorance of why and how Bills and policy continued to hinder my redemption in seeking a 2nd chance. I wanted to change the perception people had of me so I began to seek education to further my transformation. I came across a Look2justice newsletter and started to ask questions, Questions that will help carve out the path to freedom! I’m very happy to be a lead organizer for Look2justice. Too many times I’ve seen and heard misleading information spread throughout the prison hallways and I’m proud to be able to help put out the correct information that will help all of us not only find a positive reentry to civilization but help our loved ones assist us in correcting the legal system.
